How to change the brake pads of your car - video instructions

Braking system

These days a lot of attention is paid to vehicle safety, and manufacturers have come a long way in that matter, making cars with built in safety features like air bags and crumple zones. But the most important safety „feature“ of the car is a proper working braking system.
Braking systems are made of made of a few parts which are designed to wear out and ultimately need replacing. After all, their job is quite tough.

Why do brake pads need replacing?

To put it in a  simple way  - disk brakes are positioned on all four wheels and when you hit the brakes, the spinning rotor creates friction against the brake pads, and this causes the wheels to slow down and come to a stop. The constant friction is where all the wear and tear comes from. This is why the brake pads need to be regularly checked. If they become too worn out, it might create a dangerous situation for you and anyone else on the road. Regular brake service will also prevent more costly brake repairs in the future.

Watch a video where we show you what's the process of changing brake pads, brake disk machining, and proper testing of the braking system before brake pads are replaced.
